Desperately Seeking... Endrina

Hi, all. Usually it isn't too hard for me to find info on some of the most rare names, but I'm having a really hard time finding anything on Endrina, which is Albanian. I have a feeling that, like the name Andrina, it is a variant of Andrea, but I can't prove that (yet). If you have any info, please let me know! Thanks.

*update 2/14/12...I found out Endrina is a grape-like fruit! Never heard of it before, and I guess it can be called endrina or endrin...and I've mostly seen it in Spanish, not Albanian as I'd thought...*

It seems to be used more as a last name. I hope these help.

  2. Thanks for your help. Unfortunately these links don't have info on Endrina's meaning. I will keep hunting it down. I think my Albanian friend might be able to ask some relatives.

  3. Endrina it is de fruit of a tree called endrino, in english it is SLOE AND SLOE-TREE, in literature has been used at least once by a important writer, I have doubts had some meaning in albanian, probably some heared the word and liked and used as name, or found this fruit used as name reading the spanish book , in this case endrina would be like a wild prune....
